Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Thursday.

The lira USDTRY traded at 38.6630 against the U.S. dollar at 0142 GMT, after closing at 38.6455 on Wednesday.

The main BIST 100 share index XU100 closed 0.66% lower at 9,074.62 points on Wednesday.

GLOBAL MARKETS

Shares in Asia firmed on Thursday after U.S. President Donald Trump flagged a first trade deal in his global tariff war, while the dollar tried to hold overnight gains as markets pushed out the chance of near-term rate cuts.

CASH BALANCE (TRACASH=ECI)

The Treasury will announce the cash balance for April. (1430 GMT)

CENTRAL BANK DATA (TRNFR=ECI)

The Central Bank will announce its weekly statistics on money, banking, foreign exchange reserve and securities movements. (1130 GMT)

ARTIFICAL INTELLIGENCE SUMMIT

Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz and Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus will attend an artificial intelligence summit at the assembly. (0700 GMT)

FOREIGN MINISTER

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will attend a session on the sidelines of the European Union foreign ministers meeting in Warsaw.

EARTHQUAKE MEETING

Environment Minister Murat Kurum will chair an earthquake transformation assessment meeting to which all Istanbul mayors have been invited. (0900 GMT)

GOOGLE OFFICIALS IN PARLIAMENT

Representatives of Google will make presentations on changes in the Google algorithm as well as digital copyright to parliament's digital media commission. (1000 GMT)

TRADE MINISTER

Minister of Trade Omer Bolat will attend A Turkey-Iraq roundtable meeting. (1100 GMT)
